La colonizacion de EEUU

Acá les dejo una presentación sobre la colonización de EEUU. En la presentación solo hay palabras clave así que toda la información completa se va a encontrar debajo de la presentación.

COLONIZACIÓN DE EEUU:

América fue encontrada en una expedición comandada por Cristóbal Colón al servicio de la Corona Española en el 12 de octubre de 1492. La conquista española de los territorios americanos abarcó El Caribe, Centroamérica,Sudamérica y, en Norteamérica, territorios del Oeste hasta Alaska y todo el Sur-Este.

El 28 de agosto de 1565, Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, funda la ciudad de San Agustín (Florida). Es el asentamiento europeo más antiguo ocupado hoy en EE.UU. sólo San Juan (Puerto Rico) la supera como ciudad más antigua de "los Estados Unidos".Los españoles ya habían explorado la zona en expediciones que tuvieron lugar entre 1513 Juan Ponce de León y 1563, pero sin llegar a levantar ninguna fortificación estable.

Sir Walter Raleigh fundo r una colonia al Norte de Florida, a la que llamo  Virginia y  Carolina del Sur, Carolina del Norte, Virginia Occidental y Maine.

En 1626, colonizadores holandeses compraron la isla de Manhattan a los jefes indígenas de la región y erigieron la ciudad de Nueva Amsterdam; en 1664, esta colonia fue tomada por los ingleses y rebautizada con el nombre de Nueva York.

En 1733, los ingleses habían ocupado trece colonias a lo largo de la costa del Atlántico, desde Nuevo Hampshire en el norte hasta Georgia en el sur:

• Massachusetts,
• Rhode Island,
• Connecticut,
• Nueva York,
• Nueva Jersey,
• Pensilvania
• Delaware,
• Maryland,
• Virginia,
• Carolina del Norte,
• Carolina del Sur,

En 1775 comienza oficialmente la guerra, cuyo desarrollo inicial fue claramente de dominio inglés, pero su curso cambiaría cuando tras la Batalla de Saratoga, primera gran victoria americana, posteriormente España entrarían en guerra apoyando a los independentistas americanos

Por el Tratado de Versalles (1783), Inglaterra se ve obligada a reconocer la independencia de las 13 colonias estadounidenses, tal y como éstas habían redactado en la famosa Declaración de Independencia de los Estados Unidos del 4 de julio de 1776.

The pit Konrad or Schacht Konrad is a former iron ore mine proposed as a deep geological repository for medium- and low level radioactive waste.

Location: it is located in the city Salzgitter in the Metropolitan region Hannover-Braunschweig-Göttingen-Wolfsburg in southeast Lower Saxony, Germany, located between Hildesheim and Braunschweig. It has two shafts: Konrad I and Konrad II.

Human conditions: With regard to safety issues: in 1987, three different expert opinions were given which argued that Schacht Konrad is not at all appropriate as a final repository.

Workers will be exposed to radiation much more than the normal population, meaning that a railroad worker will be allowed to receive the same amount of radiation every nine minutes which other people are allowed within a year.

History: The first activities on this place began in 1867. The shaft Konrad is the youngest of the former iron ore mines in this region.The mining operation on Konrad lasted from 1961 to 1976. During this period, a total of 6.7 million tonnes of iron ore were retrieved.

The shaft Konrad is an unusually dry iron ore mine. This is one of the criteria for a deep final repository for radioactive waste, the studies on the possibility of a disposal site were started in 1975.

Book review of "The Phoenix"

The Phoenix was written by Silvia Townsend Warner in 1940 after the 2nd World War in England
The story is about a phoenix that is used as a form of earning money after it was found in the jungle of Arabia. He was brought to England, and it was turned into a kind of atraction. It was tortured and manipulated to do what Mr. Poldero wanted.
The plot of the story starts when the man who has locked the bird (Mr.Poldero), wants the phoenix to die so it would burn itself. He was going to take advantage of this to earn a lot of money, so he starts looking for desesperate actions so that the bird feels older so he wouldnt have more desire to live.
To sum up, it is the story of a phoenix that is trapped in London as an attraction. The story represents the conflict between human beings and nature. I would definetly suggest to read this story.

Nuestra tarea era buscar una imagen de la célula vegetal y hacer un dibujo basado en esa foto señalando los nombres de las diferentes partes de la célula.

Conociendo de cerca a las diferentes celulas

En este caso, nuestra tarea era crear una red conceptual con alguna herramienta virtual de nuestra preferencia, en este caso mi compañera Constanza Grasso y yo, Mateo Gomez, elegimos GoConqr . Nuestro tema era la diferentes células y como se parecían y se diferenciaban, para poder observar las células de mas cerca utilizamos la aplicación Icell.
